Antonym is a word that means the opposite of another word. It is known as विलोम शब्द (vilom shabd) or विपरीतार्थक शब्द (vipareetharthak shabd).

hide - छिपना	show – दिखाना/ दर्शाना

lively – दिलचस्प/ फुर्तीला	dull – फीका/ सुस्त

joy – हर्ष/ ख़ुशी	sorrow – ग़म/ दुःख
junior - कनिष्ठ	senior - वरिष्ठ
bad – मनहूस/ बुरा/ ख़राब	good – शुभ /भलाई/ अच्छा
kind - दयालु	unkind/cruel - दयाहीन
barren – बंजर/ फलहीन	fertile – उपजाऊ/ फलदायक
knowledge - विद्या	ignorance - अज्ञनता
beautiful – ख़ूबसूरत/ सुन्दर	ugly - बदसूरत
lazy - आलसी	industrious - उद्यमी
before – पूर्व/ पहले	after – पीछे/ बाद
lead - बढ़त	follow – अनुसरण
begin - आरम्भ	end - अंत
least - लघुतम	greatest/most – अधिकतम/ सर्वाधिक
bent – मोड़/ टेढ़ा	straight - सीधा
lend – उधार देना	borrow - कर्ज़ लेना
backwards -पीछे/ उलटे	forward - आगे
better - बेहतर	worse - बदतर
level – स्तर/ समतल	steep - खड़ा
big - बड़ा	small - छोटा
life - जीवन	death - मृत्यु
