Hi and welcome back!
In our previous post, we saw the types of tenses in Hindi. Today, we are going to cover simple present tense or samanya varthamaankaal.
As you already know that I believe in using simple and easy techniques to learn and teach. My own experiences have taught me this lesson, and I personally like to keep things simple and easy to handle. It does not matter what - cooking, learning, doing a difficult task, and so on. I always break down a big task into small, bite-sized tasks and do it. I've applied the same technique here too.
And for this exact reason, you will find separate posts on each type of tense in I Teach Hindi blog. I suggest you go through them as well to get a better understanding of tenses in Hindi. Learning Hindi grammar is not as difficult as you think. All you have to do is understand the basics well, practice enough, and study consistently. So, let's dive into Simple Present (सामान्य वर्तमानकाल)!
Simple Present (सामान्य वर्तमानकाल)
Also known as the General Present or Present Indefinite. It refers to an action (or experience) at the present.
Simple present is formed by adding ता हूँ (ta hoon), ती हूँ (thi hoon),ते हो(te ho), ती हो( thi ho), ता है(ta hai), ती है(thi hai), or ते हैं(te hain) to the verb root, depending upon the gender and number of the noun.
