Hindi Learning Series - Using Story of Channana

Welcome Back!

Today we shall learn some more new words in Hindi with the help of a small paragraph about a person named Channana. We suggest you to read the passage, then go through the words and its meaning and again come back and read the passage, finally test your understanding.

साँवला रंग,नाटा कद,गठा हुआ मज़बूत शरीर,चौड़ा माथा,तीखी आँखें,नौकीली नाक, और कुछ लंबा सिर,तन पर धोती और टप- टप टपकता पसीना| जीवन में संघर्षों से जुझता चणना| हाथ में  लिए क्यारियों की घास को खोदता,फेंकता, अपने काम में तल्लीन चणना| चणना मेहनती, साहसी,हँसमुख, सरल और आशावादी व्यक्ति है जो सूखे की विकट स्थिति में भी हिम्मत नहीं हारता|

Transliteration:

Sanvla rang,nata kad,gatta hua mazboot shareer,chauda matha,theekhi aankhem,naukeeli naak, aur kuch lamba sir,tan par dhoti aur tap-tap tapakata paseena. Jeevan mein sangharshom se jujhta chanana. Hath mein khurpi liye kyariyom ki ghaas ko khodta,fenkta, apne kaam mein talleen chanana. chanana mehnati, sahasi,hansmukh, saral aur aashavadi vyakti hai jo sookhe ki vikat sthiti mein bhi himmat nahin harta.
